We've all been there. Being persuaded by YouTube videos mentioning the same product over and over until it's embedded into your head. Cetaphil has been mentioned quite a number of times. While I haven't tried anything from the brand before, I wanted to pick up a new face cleanser that wasn't so drying on my skin. My skin definitely has changed over the past few months, it's gone pretty dry and I was looking for something that would cleanse it without making extremely squeaky clean. It's not as oily as it used to be so is looking for something which is going to clean it without excessively drying it.
So let's break down this product!
Water, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Acrylates/Steareth-20 Methacrylate Copolymer, Glycerin, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Butylene Glycol, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol, Masking Fragrance, Panthenol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben.
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, For Normal to Oily Skin
- Specifically formulated for normal, oily, and combination skin
- Removes surface oil and dirt without leaving skin feeling tight or overly dry
- Non-irritating and won't clog pores
I absolutely love that it's a pump bottle, super easy to use instead of a traditional squeeze tube where you have to flip the cap open and struggle to get product out.

The Daily Facial Cleanser is mild for all skin types from Normal to Oily. The formula is very liquidy gel and it doesn't lather on the skin. I could see this working for all skin types except if you have extremely oily skin, since the second ingredient is Glycerin, the hydrating properties in this cleanser is noticeable. It will cleanse it without dehydrating your skin especially if you prefer to wash your face every morning.
The mild formula is amazing at cleansing the skin, removing oil and debris while leaving you with very smooth skin that's not at all tight. I'm not used to having a cleanser that doesn't lather or foam which means that there's a lot nourishing ingredients. One thing I notice is that it won't strip all the oils from your skin which means that there was still being a bit of residue left. When I use it to remove my makeup there's still a bit of foundation that's left behind especially with full coverage. You will need to go over with a toner on cleansing water to get rid of all traces of makeup.
Overall I like this for my daily morning routine. It's a simple and basic cleanser, nothing too crazy or overly exciting about it. I'm definitely interested in getting a couple of other things from the brand since I like how basic this product it.
